Help Me Thursday #3
OK, I really need some help on this one - this tag has been showing up regularly around the downtown core - and I have no idea what it says - let me know your thoughts by leaving a comment - thanks in advance for all the help.
Yes and the top photo seems to have a small VA tag (with a lower case "A") - Isuspect that this tagger may be a VA member - but what the heck does his/her tag say?
I'm guessing, based on the conventions of graffiti handstyles, that this tag belongs to a writer named SIAM. The top two say "SIAMER", and the bottom one says "SIAME".
Here's a breakdown: The halo represents the dot over the I. The M is an angular version of a lowercase "m", and the initial serif-stroke makes it look almost like a W. The S, E, and R are reclining. "ER" is a common suffix people add to their names when they want to extend them.
Cassidy - I think you are absolutely correct - and I think that this Tag is by the same person that I have called SAME - which on closer inspection is actually SIAME some of the time, and SAME the rest of the time, with a round rather than angular style - thanks for the help!
Funnily enough I was out tag-watching on Quinpool Rd. the other day with posse of astute 10- 11- 8-year olds who immediately spotted SIAM, SIAME, SIAMER tags a la Cassidy's insights....
Spending too much time taking shots of Graffiti for my own good (but learning lots about blogging, photography, Flickr, YahooMaps. GoogleEarth, HTML, and even a little about Graffiti) - in and around Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada

I don't know exactly, but I see VA in there under the stylized circle. It even resembles the VA style, no?

I think it looks like a combination of SAME and VA. Also at one point I thought it said slavery.
